Myanmar: Humanitarian Crisis

On November 4th-5th, 2025, you are encouraged to repost/feature a post about Myanmar's humanitarian crisis on your stories or accounts.  Information You can repost/feature a post from  https://www.instagram.com/actformyanmar/ . There will be a specific post uploaded on November 4th for this campaign, but you may use any of this campaign's related posts. Anyone can participate!  The more people that do, the bigger impact this campaign will have. Awareness makes an impact.  You can make a change in seconds by utilizing social media. Keep the post/story up for (at least) November 4th to the 5th. Just a one-day, unified commitment can make a difference, but leaving the post/story up longer will increase your individual impact.  Why November 4th-5th? On November 4th, the Tazaungdaing Festival takes place. It is an important Myanmarese/Burmese holiday during which acts of charity are celebrated as a means of merit-making.

The Situation: War, Disaster, and Unmet Needs Myanmar (Burma)'s history is riddled with violence. From 1948-2011, civil war took 130,000 lives and left the country dangerously underdeveloped. Although the end of the conflict in 2011 relieved the Myanmarese (Burmese) people, peace did not last long. In 2021, a military coup against the elected National League for Democracy launched the nation back into a deadly and ongoing civil war. Over 80,000 people have been killed so far. Parts of Myanmar have been taken by the military junta, which has indiscriminately killed thousands of civilians. Other parts are controlled by dozens of resistance forces, some of them ethnic armed organizations and others coalitions of activists and protestors.
